Dr. Gregg Okada, OD
Dr. Gregg Okada is well known for his expertise in the most specialized of contact lens fittings (including bifocals), LASIK/intra-ocular lens implant surgery co-management, and advanced red or dry eye treatments. He also exhibits great interest in children’s vision.
In 2005, Dr. Okada was one of the first 20 optometrists in the U.S. to achieve an Orthokeratology Fellowship (F.I.A.O.). He furthered his corneal reshaping training in Tokyo, Japan alongside the prominent Dr. Kenji Yoshida, MD. A leader in this ever-growing field, Dr. Okada has reshaped over 1,000 corneas to help patients reduce the need for daytime glasses or contact lenses. He received his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1979 and his Doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1984. Professional memberships he’s currently active in are the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, American Academy of Orthokeratology, South Bay Optometric Society, and on the Laser Center (TLC) Optometry Advisory Board.
Dr. Okada was raised in the South Bay and currently resides in Manhattan Beach with his wife and two children. He is truly the family eye doctor who would certainly take care of your family like his own.
